Color is simply how our brains respond to different wavelengths of light, and wavelengths outside the spectrum of visible light are invisible and colorless to us simply because our eyes can’t detect them. Since colors are created in our brains, what if we all see colors differently from one another? BBC created a fascinating program called “Do You See What I See?” that explores this question, and the findings are pretty startling. (via)

Голландский фотограф Роб Хорнста (Rob Hornsta) фотографирует как сейчас выглядит Сочи в преддверии зимней олимпиады 2014 года (мягко говоря непривлекательно). Его поездка это часть большого проекта про Сочи, который он делает вместе с режиссером Арнольдом ван Брюггеном (Arnold van Bruggen). Вместе они хотят зафиксировать как город будет меняться в последующие 5 лет. Роб призер каннской премии за инновации в журналистике делает свои проекты в очень долгие сроки, называя это медленной журналистикой, где главным становится не вопрос «что здесь происходит?», а «почему это происходит?»
